I often wonder what life would be like if I were a squid disguised as a man. … Well, not really, but in Octodad: Dadliest Catch that dream (if it were my dream) would come true! In my latest endeavor into the world of let’s plays I take on the persona of the sea creature and get myself into all kinds of hilarious mischief. Episodes are uploaded as often as I can (usually every other day). You can catch up on all the episodes here in the playlist!

Here are my previous let’s plays:
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I skipped like 100 days in the 30 Day Song Challenge! So, uh, I’m going to combine days 5, 6, and 7. They’re fairly similar anyways. Basically songs that remind you of a person, place, and event.
It’s funny, but I don’t normally associate people with songs. I do with places and events like crazy. And usually the events are with a specific person in mind, so in a way it reminds me of them. I think this is good that I’m merging them all together because when I think about it these songs could fall under all 3 categories.
Day 5: Song that reminds you of someone
Backstreet Boys – Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)
Crayon Pop – Bar Bar Bar
This is what I love about K-Pop! Crayon Pop has got it all. The bright colours. The cute dances. Catchy easy to sing hooks. And helmets for no reason other than to look like the poor man’s Power Rangers. XD
There’s just something hilariously funny about some people’s reactions while under the influence of general anesthetics. You know you shouldn’t laugh because they’ve been through an ordeal, but just try and not crack a smile at the bonehead things they say. XD And the fact that it’s usually the parents recording kind of makes it even funnier.
So, it’s been a few days since I added to the 30 Day Song Challenge. It’s not really 30 days anymore, is it? XD I didn’t forget, I swear! I was struggling with this day’s challenge… sad songs.
No, I didn’t crumple into a heap of emo sobbing mess. Quite the opposite. I know there are songs out there that make me sad, but since I’ve been in a happy (or at the very least content) mood lately I found it difficult to remember any. Rather songs I did once find sad weren’t evoking that emotion out of me while I listened to them. I either became nonchalant or a tad frustrated. Go figure. I did come up with some. Although they don’t reflect my own sadness, I do find the subject matter heartbreaking.
Day 3: Song that makes me sad
Trevor Rabin – Harry & Grace Make Peace (“Armageddon”)
Continuation of the 30 Day Song Challenge. I’m moving right along. 😀 This is great at helping me get used to posting. It seems simple, but when you account all the hours that are in a day and when I allot them for other things… well, posting seems to get the short end. It’s good practice, yus!
Day 3: Song that makes me happy
The last challenge was a bit angry… It’s a good thing this one is on the lighter side. Like I said when I first started this blog, I have no intention of bringing negative vibes in here. It happens, but I do not want this to be a place of ranting. It kills the mood. 😛
Whose Line Is It Anyways? – You’ve Got Sole
XD Just thinking about this song makes me giggle. Without a doubt this is my go-to video when I want to smile and laugh. I don’t know what it is about it. It’s just so damn hilarious! I turn into a baby laughing uncontrollably at their father making silly noises. It’s a shame that Whose Line isn’t on tv anymore. Not even in syndication! It was a comedic goldmine! I highly recommend anyone who hasn’t (or even if you have) heard of it to go look up videos on Youtube. Right now! Do eet! I don’t mind, I promise. ^^ Good news is just last month the Gameshow Network started airing Drew Carey’s Improv-a-ganza. It’s pretty much the same thing without the points. I kinda miss the useless points… Bah! Small price to pay. Oh, and the awesome part about it is GTV has FULL EPISODES available on their site! And they don’t block Canadian IPs! 😀
Day 1 – My Favourite Songs
Day 2 – My Least Favourite Songs
I’ve been told I’ve got a good ear. I don’t think I have perfect pitch, but I know I’m not tone deaf. It’s kind of annoying being in the middle, but I suppose I’m just the norm. Where am I going with this? Usually I set my alarm to the radio. I’ve spent enough years waking up to that damn “ERH!! ERH!!” sound, so given another option I’ll take it. I don’t listen to the radio as much as I used to and this has become my main source for it. Of course being groggy it’s difficult for me to comprehend right away just what exactly it is I’m listening to. I already had the experience of hearing Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way being utterly confused why Express Yourself sounded so off. XD
I recently had another experience. This is starting to becoming a trend for me. Like I said, in my state of awakening I can’t tell heads or tails who is singing. Most times I default to thinking it’s a Rihanna song. If I was right she’d be played 70% of the time. XD I’ve heard Love Stereo (Edward Maya & Vika Jigulina) more times than I can count from my alarm. I had no idea who it was, but it actually gave for a pleasant waking experience. Would be more awesome if I was waking up in a beautiful villa in Morocco (pictured above). 😛 I’m not sure when the switch happened (I don’t keep up to date with music news), but my wake up song got replaced by J.Lo‘s On The Floor. And it confused the hell outta me! XD I’d heard the accordion melody and wonder where the hell the nice serene vocals were followed by, “Did he just rhyme donka-donk with Tonka truck? lol” It took me longer than I’d like to admit that these were two completely different songs…
Of course once I realized the accordion melodies were so close I went on the hunt for a mashup! They sound so good together. Better than each song on it’s own. I wish artists collaborated more than just some rap artist interjecting.
